Richfield Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Richfield Public School District ranked 10th in the Hennepin County for test participation, with 1,919 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Richfield Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 47.6% over the previous year.

Richfield Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 28% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 16% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, sixth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 61% not meeting the expected standards.

Richfield Public School District encompasses schools within Hennepin County and has a main office in Richfield.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
